Momentaufnahmen – flüchtige Begegnung mit Fotografie

Making transience visible and tangible - that is the goal of the project "Snapshots", which takes place on the last day of the exhibition Isa Rosenberger / Nira Pereg in the seminar room of the Edith Russ House for Media Art.

For one day, interested people will have the opportunity to photographically write history and see it fade away. Using a simple but all the more effective technique, participants can encounter themselves and others within photographs. Projector projections allow for a playful examination of the fleetingness of the moment. Everyone can "take a stand" on the preceding photographs. The visitors will be accompanied by Johanna Hemp and Wilma Scheschonk, bachelor students of Material Culture: Textiles, who developed the project idea based on the current exhibition. Isa Rosenberger, one of the media artists currently exhibiting, explores in her artistic works the constant change of meaning to which monuments are subject. "Snapshots" is also to be understood as a commentary on the medium of photography as a monument.
