Music III

Music 3 explores contemporary ideas about percussion, hitting and being hit, and the questions: "Why?" and "With what?". The first veil to clarify these mysteries will be lifted for the participants of the workshop followed by a bicycle excursion (please bring bicycles!). The more passive enjoyer can enjoy an opto-acoustic treat in the evening during the concert version of the work.

20h concert version of Travelon Gamelon for six bicycles

In the context of a workshop, "Travelon Gamelon", a bicycle orchestra and at the same time a classic of electroacoustic music (first performed in Boston 1978), will be created. After a bicycle tour through Oldenburg or the performance of the work in public space, there will be a concert performance with three bicycles conducted by Richard Lerman in the evening at the Edith Russ House for Media Art.
