Blühende Landschaften
17. October 2009, 10:30 - 13:30
On the occasion of KiBuM 2009 on the theme of "20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall", the Edith Russ House for Media Art invites you to a film workshop entitled "Blooming Landscapes". In 1990, on the occasion of the German reunification, the then Chancellor Helmut Kohl had declared that the new federal states would soon be transformed into "blooming landscapes again through a joint effort [...]".
Blooming landscapes thus stand for personal wishes and public promises. The fairy tale of the land of milk and honey is just around the corner. What things are in our personal land of milk and honey? What have we always wanted and how much of it is good? We put the desired objects together and film the resulting "living picture" (tableau vivant). Changes are allowed, own ideas are explicitly desired. Promised!
