Surveillance technologies and their artistic use

Achim Mohné will present his cycle "Panopticon", which has been using or abusing surveillance technologies across media since 1996. Perceptual-psychological phenomena, media traps, public interventions, audiovisual simulations, collective security thinking will be addressed. The reaction to an artwork is the focus of observation, not the artwork itself.

The current project "Remotewords", which makes messages written on roofs visible worldwide through Google Earth, deals with the power and powerlessness of digital observation and communication systems.
